About Indexing
A good index provides users with specific information about where topics are discussed in a text, as well as the
context of that discussion. A good index helps users find information by providing multiple entry points and
cross-references to related topics.
There are currently no software programs that provide useful indexes; a good index takes a human brain looking at
and analyzing the text.
